Once the brush is cut, you are left with piles. Fall is when many Central New York landowners decide what to do with them before snow covers everything and spring growth starts over.
Your Three Options
- Mulch on site: chips stay on the ground, suppress regrowth and cost nothing to dispose of
- Haul away: best for large volumes, tight lots, or land you plan to sell or build on
- Burn: only where local rules and burn restrictions allow it. Check with your town first
Which One Fits
Small piles on open acreage are usually fine as mulch. Big piles near a driveway, building site, or road are better removed with our hauling service and 25′ deck-over trailer. If you still have standing brush, we can start with brush hogging or full land clearing.
Why Not Leave Piles Over Winter
Piles shelter rodents, hold water, smother the ground underneath and become harder to move once the ground freezes or snow piles on top.
